Set within the vibrant atmosphere of Expo 2025 Osaka, the Austria Pavilion stands as a striking symbol of Austria’s innovative spirit. Designed by renowned architects BWM Designers & Architects, the concept is a musical interpretation of the Expo’s motto – „Designing Future Society for Our Lives“. The idea is that, in Austria, the future is not „designed“, but rather composed: „Austria. Composing the Future“.

The Austria Pavilion comprises two main elements: the monumental spiral sculpture in the forecourt and the functional pavilion building housing the exhibition space, behind the spiral. Inside the pavilion, the immersive exhibition space traces Austria’s cultural connection with Japan through music, highlights Austrian innovations and technologies via interactive installations, and invites visitors to co-create a dynamic, multimedia vision of a sustainable future. 

The pavilion encourages reflection on how we live, connect, and create—bringing Austria’s contributions to a global audience in an inspiring and accessible way.

Among the many highlights within the Austria Pavilion is the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Vienna coffee house experience. 

At the pavilion’s restaurant, guests are served Gloriette Gold coffee from The Originals Bio Fairtrade range. Inspired by iconic locations in Vienna where nature and culture meet, The Originals Bio Fairtrade double certified coffees are organically grown, ethically sourced, and roasted with over 160 years of Viennese craftsmanship. 

Sustainable practices and quality coffee go hand in hand. Double-certified coffee allows guests to savour each sip knowing that they are supporting a bright future for the coffee industry and the people who choose to make coffee growing their craft. 

The coffee is expertly prepared using a Faema E61 Jubile espresso machine and MD5000 grinder. Special thanks to our trusted partner in bringing together heritage and innovation to create refined, high-quality coffee experiences.
